Gina Garris, Yoga Teacher, Sexual Healer

Gina Garris is a lover of LOVE. She has infused her life with sharing love as a woman, healer, teacher and mentor. Being in Gina’s presence allows you to relax into more of yourself. Without judgment, Gina naturally creates a sacred space of awareness, acceptance and appreciation of all aspects of you, light and dark. This permission from within calls forth new ways of BE-ing. Lightness, wholeness, juiciness, life without shame – are just some of the ways Gina’s clients describe the results of her work. Whether you encounter Gina while she is in the realm of sexuality & yoni workshops, intuitive bodywork, sexual healer sessions, or as a kundalini yoga and meditation teacher, she meets you wherever you are on your journey and just loves you. Unconditionally. She also thrives on facilitating sexuality and sacredness conversations, inviting more playfulness into a seemingly uptight world.

Embracing the Feminine is excited to offer an afternoon of inspiration for teen girls in union with the annual festival. We will be introducing the girls to the idea of a safe gathering circle which respects one self and other as unique individuals.  We will be experiencing activities on healthy self image, body awareness, and intuition. The girls will have the opportunity to join the woman of the festival in a yoga and art session to kick off the afternoon, and end in a collaborative community dance circle. Teenagers are in a prime position to develop skills in believing in their self worth and speaking their truth. Understanding and honoring their changing bodies and emotions is essential to a life long foundation of well-being.

Your facilitators Tamme Buckner, Dameda Finney, and Cindy Koder have united in their passion to inspire teen and pre-teen girls to move and be moved through fun and creative experiential activities that enhance mind, body, and spirit.

As women, we have a bodily connection to the moon and her cycles.  In this class, we will explore the journey she brings us on every month ~ waxing and waning through the 12 signs of the zodiac.  Each of these archetypes has an embodied natural medicine that can help us recognize & reclaim the totality of our character.  Learning to engage this wisdom invites us back to our feminine & animate sense of natural time. Come play with your many faceted self in her dance with the moon. This is an experiential workshop with gentle movement components.

Using the Sensitivity Cycle from Hakomi*, understand how to support your wholeness through radical rest. We will explore the teachings of this incredible method while enjoying supportive, restorative yoga practices. Come away feeling nourished, and with new insights for wholehearted living.

*Hakomi is an experiential form of psychotherapy; the word translates to “how do I stand in relation to the many realms”. It is based on Buddhism and depth psychology.

Laura Wade Jaster, MA, NCC Psychotherapist and Yoga teacher

www.spiralwellness.com

Laura Wade Jaster brings a unique depth and perspective to her teaching. Warm, engaging, and excellent with group experiences, you can find your welcome here.

In an experientially based session, you will learn what is actual emotional support for yourself, a friend or a loved one. Successful support of another is rooted in self-support. We will explore the many nuances of how to support ourselves and another simultaneously.  In learning how to have boundaries and healthy connection, our own experience of support becomes more fluid, safe and sustainable. We no longer risk draining ourselves with the false concept that support looks like abandoning ourselves to be with another.

There will be group work in this session as well as optional hands-on support experiences.

Danielle Vance MA, LPC Licensed Psychotherapist, Somatic Therapist

www.therapydenver.com

Danielle Vance MA, LPC has been a practicing psychotherapist for over 15 years. She specializes in somatic (body-based) and mindfulness approaches for trauma and self awareness to achieve growth and change.

Denver Sound Healer Chris Anne Coviello will play singing bowls tuned to the different musical notes of the chakra system of the body. Tibetan Singing bowls have been used for thousands of years as instruments of healing which balance the energies of the body. Since human beings are made up of mostly water, the vibrational effect will be a full body cellular massage.

So come relax and close your eyes as you drift into an altered state which facilitates the body to heal. Make sure you wear comfy clothes and bring a yoga mat or blanket so that you may lie down and let the bowls carry away with them all that no longer serves you. As your chakra’s re-align, you enter the profound state of physical, mental and emotional well-being. Leave as if you were 10lbs lighter, because that is exactly what will happen as stress, anxiety and fear melt from your system.

The body is our natural place of true knowing.  This day, with all of it’s opportunities, will reveal the spark of the feminine spirit… and add to our skill sets for nurturing, empowering and protecting this personal and global resource.  This final session, with all of us in attendance, will be designed to bring the wisdom, practices and connections of the day all the way home… into the body.  With music, movement & intentional play, we will integrate and celebrate this newly awakened feminine force.  Come ready to move (wear comfortable clothes).  You may break a sweat, so bring your water bottle.  If you have a mat and/or cushion for your practice, feel free to bring it (just in case).

Discover through creative art processes and meditative yoga movement how embracing your own creative nature allows you to powerfully enhance your experience of  freedom and acceptance. We will set the stage for this class with a short yoga and meditation journey to get us out of our limiting mind and into the vast wisdom of the body allowing us to access the sacred, prayerful quality existent in every act of creation. We will use a myriad of materials to paint what inspires us and join our art onto a collective canvas to experience how what we create is constantly transformed and made anew by the co-collaboration of those around us.
